Evaporative Cooling for Arizona State University’s LEED Platinum Certified Research Lab

Arizona, USA

The Arizona State University Biodesign Institute stands as Arizona’s largest infrastructure investment in bioscience-related research. The Institute’s Building C is LEED Platinum certified and utilizes MeeFog’s advanced humidification and cooling system to enhance its sustainability efforts. The MeeFog system has one pump unit feeding three energy recovery coils for indirect evaporative cooling, and is is in sync with ASU’s building control system which turns the system on and off as required to pre-cool in the Exhaust Air Unit. The system requires no mist eliminators, operates with soft water, and effectively reduces temperatures to ensure consistent performance and substantial environmental benefits.
