U.S. Embassy Cools Diesel Generators with MeeFog
Gas Turbine Inlet Air CoolingThe U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan needed to cool two large rooms that house the diesel generators that power the embassy. They installed eight MeeFog systems to provide 36°F of evaporative cooling for each of the eight air inlet serving the 2-MW diesel generator. Each inlet has a fog system consisting of a 1000-psi fog pump unit, staging valves, interconnecting feedlines and a fog nozzle array.
